Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 Razer and Qualcomm Reveal Gaming
Qualcomm is known for some of the world’s most widely used chips for mobile phones, and now the company has introduced a number of new gaming products. On the one hand, the Qualcomm Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 gaming platform and the other around the Snapdragon G3X Handheld Developer Kit.
According to own information, Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 Android games should enable a similar experience as on consoles or PCs, and explicitly mentioned Xbox Cloud Gaming in the presentation, while they presented the device from Racer, which is currently in planning.
The Snapdragon G3X Gen 1 supports some features that are already available at Nintendo Switch, e.g. B. Display Out to TV for docking, support for fan technology and a complete controller. Functions were also touted, which are not yet available on the Nintendo Switch, such as: B. the support of 144 fps, 5g and stereo haptics.
The first device shown is the Handheld Development Kit of Racer, which looks very strong after the Xbox Controller. It has the default colored ABBY keys as well as offset joysticks, shoulder buttons, D-Pad and trigger. In the middle there is a large display with Android operating system and an integrated webcam for live-streaming.
Xbox Game Pass, Xbox Cloud Gaming and Xbox console streaming was repeatedly called as capabilities of this racer handheld, which also has 4-way speakers. In addition, it can be connected to a TV that outputs via USB-C in 4K with HDR. The handheld is future-proof, with maximum 5G mm Wave / sub-6 capabilities, next to Wi-Fi 6 and two crucial functions to improve image quality when playing from the cloud.
